The organizers of The Pipers' Gathering make every effort to keep registration costs as low as possible. Currently, registrations cover only about half of the total costs. The rest is made up through grants; concert ticket, T-shirt, CD, and poster sales; — and donations from people who want to help support and improve the event.
Donations from participants and supporters of the event make up about 10% of the budget and allow us to bring in one additional performer/instructor from the British Isles or Europe or two North American-based instructors.
The Pipers' Gathering, Inc. is registered in the State of Vermont as a public-benefit, non-profit corporation. Additionally, the United States Internal Revenue Service has approved the corporation as a non-profit organization under the provisions of Section 501(c)(3) of the federal tax code. Consequently, any donations are tax deductible. All donors will get a receipt for tax purposes-as well as the thanks of the organizers and participants.
