2017 Registration

We look forward to seeing you at The Pipers’ Gathering in August!  Formal activities start at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 18, and run through the concert on Sunday night,  August 20.  If you are staying at Wisdom House, you will be asked to be out of your room by 10:00 am on Monday, August 21.  There are no activities scheduled for Monday.

If you have joined us in recent years, the registration form/process has changed this year.  Please

  • email the registrar with any questions before you register
  • if you wish to apply for a scholarship, please do it here before you register

The Gathering takes place at Wisdom House in Litchfield, CT.  There is plenty of room for us to hang out, play music together, and participate in group lessons, workshops, private lessons.  There is a large area for vendors.   Meals are served buffet-style, with sensitivity to dietary preferences/intolerances.  Hot coffee and spring water are available 24/7 in common areas.  Housing is dormitory-style in the Main Building, and is handicapped-accessible.  The Farmhouse includes many bedrooms in a charming old house, and is not handicapped-accessible.

Full registration for the weekend is $325.  Observers are $125.  Room and board is in addition to the registration fee.

You will be asked to choose options in the following order:

  • registration type (musician? observer?) and days (full weekend? one day?)
  • housing
  • meals
  • extras (t-shirts, private lessons)
  • your information (contact info, roommate choice, dietary preferences, etc)
  • payment (check or PayPal)

New this year – you will be charged in full for your housing when you register.  If you need to break the payment up, please contact us before registering.


We realize that life happens while you’re making plans for the Gathering, and your plans may need to change. Should you be in this situation, please contact us as soon as possible. For our funding we rely entirely on the money from our attendance and from individual donors. If you can’t attend, please consider donating your fee to help us meet expenses, or apply it to next year’s registration. 

If you cancel before July 18,  we will provide a full refund by check (less PayPal fees if you paid online).  From July 18 – August 3, we will refund 50% of your fee by check (also less PayPal fees if you paid online).  There will be no refunds after August 3, as we will have committed funds to Wisdom House and other vendors.  Thank you for understanding.
